The book spines are all clearly readable, so my husband and I kept pausing to check off which ones we'd actually finished. Took us three evenings to finish the 1000 pieces, and now it's glued and hanging in our reading nook.
I've read about a third of the books on this puzzle, so it doubled as a reading list while I worked on it. The 1000 pieces fit together with almost no blurry spots, and the little title spines are crisp enough to actually read before you place them.
The 1000 pieces took me a solid three evenings, and spotting titles like The Color Purple and High Fidelity as I went kept it fun. My only gripe is that the pieces are a bit glossy under a lamp, but the shelf-of-books artwork is gorgeous once it's done.
